This monthly subscription is ideal for ‘improvers’. Most commonly, for example, If you are at 5+hrs and want to go under, at 4+hr and want to go under, or you are running a 3:45 and want to get to 3:15 or if you are 3:15 and want to get to 2:45, then Mike can help you.

At the sharp end, Mike has taken a lot of runners below 2.30 and several of those on to sub 2.20. If you are looking for a coach who knows what it feels like to run sub-5min miles, has won races, and has been a Championship medallist (Commonwealth Games, Brisbane, 1982, Bronze Medal in a PB 2.12.06), then there are few with this level of experience, as runner and coach.

Includes:

  • Ongoing support service, for as long as the athlete wants it, writing training plans on a continuous basis for each new target, or limited a limited service, writing plans to a specific event, usually a marathon.

  • Gathering information on the runner; age, experience, current best times, target events, current training, from this I will agree a structure leading up to the event; i.e. aerobic running, moving to speed endurance + long runs, on to faster intervals and race pace training, final race preparation.

  • Each month prepare the months training, taking into account feedback from the runner on the previous block.

  • Any time contact by telephone, email, messenger, Whatsapp, to discuss things as they go along, and to look at life style elements that may be affecting performance, i.e. work/life balance, poor nutrition, etc.

  • In person meet ups, if possible geographically.

  • Analysis of the training and the final race performance.

  • Payment taken by Stripe on a monthly agreement.

  • Cancel subscription any time.
